boredomresearch are internationally renowned for creating software driven art, highly aesthetic both visually and acoustically. They are greatly inspired by the diversity that exists in nature. Using computational technology they explore a similar diversity to simulate natural patterns, behaviours and intricate forms that gradually change over time. Their recent work ‘AfterGlow’, a collaboration with Dr Paddy Brock as part of the Wellcome Trust-funded project Silent Signal, won the Moving Image Award at this year’s Lumen Prize.
